So, it's been a minute.  I'm not sure if I'll stick with it, but I was bored and have insomnia, so I thought what the hell.  I find myself using my camera phone (which has surprisingly decent quality) more than my SLR these days because I'm simply too lazy/unmotivated to dig out my gear for most things.  

A lot has changed since I last was active on dA.  Beyond the site/community itself, well, there's the advent of camera phones (Lol), Lightroom is Love, I have a much faster pc and much larger hard drives.  Go me!  

I cleaned up my page and hid all my old deviations because, frankly, most were embarrassingly bad.  I decided to use this account as opposed to my older dA account because, well, idk, just because.  Like I said, most of my photos nowadays are snapshots taken with my camera phone (and edited in Aviary on said phone or in PS) and most of those photos are of my dogs and niece, the latter of whom I've documented since birth and is growing into a beautiful young lady.

I'm currently trying to reorganize my archived photos, so if I do continue to post here on dA, I'll probably throw some of my favorites up in addition to new photographs and the occasional design.  

Before I forget, somewhere in the meantime, my husband has joined dA and sometimes publishes his work to his gallery here, .  Check him out.

that is 15$ the question.  My subscription runs out in a couple of weeks.  I love the sub features; the thumbs, the reply on the message page, the view journals on the message page.  But I don't know that it's worth it, a question I've struggled with before.  Plus, I'm not spending much time here.  Then, there'd be the whole issue of my supporting DA.  Which, I'm so not wanting to do.  And too, although it's not "part of the subscription package" or whatever, kind of pisses me off that the search feature isn't working, which is a big bonus of the sub.  And that's bs too, it's only avail. to subscribers, but it's not part of the package, mmmhmm.  Just because it's not advertised as one of the "perks" doesn't make it not part of the deal.  And I loved how they turned off comments to that entry.  Classy.  

My gum hurts.  Ow.  Start summer class Monday.  Hoofuckinray.  At least the university paid for it.  God bless staff discounts.

Don't have too many deviations to view/comment on, but I'll try to catch up on those over the w/e.  Hope you tadpoles have a good one.

So, thought I'd update.  School's been blown to pieces.  Didn't fair as well as I'd originally expected, but better than I more recently hoped.   Go back in a few weeks for summer class.  Had the week off, enjoyed it immensely.  Got my lens back, enjoyed that even more.  Haven't been out to shoot much lately, although I've found some things around the house to fill an exposure or two.

I think I can make it, I think.  Tomorrow is my first exam, I've not studied for it, nor will I.  We'll get a curve, I'll be the curve or almost be, so I'm not too worried.  Friday my English portfolio is due.  Bleh.  I'm so papered out.  I have to do my research paper still, the research part-- I've yet to do.  I've written it otherwise.  Also have to do a creative writing thing.  I hate creative writing, I'm not creative.    She said it'd be an easy A though, so I guess I'll just fart something out.  I revised two papers tonight and did a final for another.  I'm going to prob. go ahead and write the creative thing before I go to bed.  Monday is my Rel Stu exam.  I haven't studied much for that yet, although, I have made my study guide.  That only took about 6 hours. :/  And then Tuesday is my math exam.  Then, then my friends, I am DONE! w00t!   I'll only have Saturday to study.  I have to work all day Thursday andFriday, and then turn in my portfolio before I leave school Friday evening.  Then we have to eat as soon as I get home and leave for my hometown.  My brother decided to pay for a family portrait for my mom's m-day gift and scheduled the damn thing for 9pm Friday night.  So it'll prob. be after 11 before we get home.  And then Sunday we have to go to church w/ Mom, go to the cemetery w/ her and go grocery shopping.  Then come back and go visit Jeff's mom.  Maybe we'll be done by 3 or 4.  I hope so.  I need to study.  I think I'm not going to work Monday, and just go in Wed-Friday again, like I am doing this week.  

My right eye is killing me.  Ugh.  It's dry and like blood shot.  Lack of sleep and too much monitor looking, I suppose.  Maybe I can remody that next weekend. = )

I have a papercut.   It hurts.

Now for the best ever news.  I called Sigma Monday, my lens should be here next week!  Oh happy day!  I can't wait to get it back.  I've missed my precious so.  

I bought cactus and aloe vera plants today.  wee!  I need more soil though.  I picked up Mom's MD pressie too.  I hope she likes it.  She'd better, as much as it cost! heh

The semester is drawing ever nearer to an end.  Thank God.  Only another week of classes.  weee  Despite the weird weather I was able to at least get out into the back yard over this weekend.  Took a couple photos, nothing spectacular, but, I was in the back yard.   You fart knockers haven't slacked a bit with submissions.  heh  It's hard to keep up.  Maybe I'll get some done tonight before I start/finish one of my two last papers for the semester.  

I'm tired.  I need about two days of non stop sleep, and maybe I'll have almost paid off my sleep debt.
